Things To Do

We moved to Asheville in August 2024 and feel incredibly grateful to call this little city our home! Having lived here through Hurricane Helene, we witnessed firsthand the strength and kindness of this community, which made us even more certain that this is exactly where we’re meant to be. Today, Asheville is thriving again and grateful for those who come to visit and explore. We’ve listed some of our favorite spots below, and if you’re able to extend your stay, we hope you’ll take time to wander and enjoy the many hidden gems that make Asheville so special.

One World Brewing - Downtown

10 Patton Ave, Asheville, NC

We stumbled upon this brewery our first visit to Asheville & knew that night we would move here. There's often live music playing in the evenings! Order a Citra Bomb IPA for Jackie.

White Duck Taco Shop Downtown

12 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC 28803

A funky taco shack with delicious options. This is Tim's favorite place! We had it for dinner two nights in a row the first time we visited Asheville.

Day Trip

174 Broadway Street, Asheville, NC 28801

The bar we frequent most often when meeting up with friends! The atmosphere is extremely welcoming and the decor will bring you back to your grandma's house in the most nostalgic and fun way. (Check out our Gallery, we took some engagement pics here.)

Bear's Smokehouse Barbecue

135 Coxe Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801

Our favorite BBQ place in town! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. It has an incredible outdoor space and is located in the heart of South Slope (Asheville's beer district). Make sure you hit up a brewery (or two) after you eat! Some of our favs in South Slope include: - Burial Beer Co. - Twin Leaf Brewery - Hi-Wire Brewing (they have several locations but the one in South Slope has a super cool cocktail Tiki Bar hidden in the back!)

West Asheville

Haywood Road,

We live in West Asheville and our little house is walking distance from a bunch of great places on Haywood Road! If you feel like exploring outside of downtown and want to go to places filled with more locals, here are some of our favorite spots in our neighborhood: - Westville Pub (We're literally here all the time.) - Haywood Commons (Amazing outdoor space!) - The Whale (Connected to Haywood Commons, great beer selection.) - The Brew Pump (Attached to a gas station but you can always make new friends here! Order at the window and play some cornhole in the beer garden.)
