though it does not always have direct flights and might have less car rental options
despite being further, Rome can sometimes offer better connections

if you decide to come by train, a pick up will be necessary
the closest train station is Bibbiena (on the local TFT Arezzo–Stia line)
you can reach Arezzo via Trenitalia, and from there take a local train to Bibbiena
please check the local timetable, as it differs from the main lines
