As fate had it Giselle and Nick met in Culinary class their senior year of high school - proving that food truly paves the way to the heart! They started dating towards the end of senior year, right on time for a memorable prom night. Two months into the relationship distance tested their bond when Nick went away for school - making their first year as a couple filled with FaceTime dates. Eventually, Nick came back to Miami for good and for the first time they were able to spend quality time together and learn how to best intertwine their lives as a new couple. Since then, they’ve built everlasting memories with each other’s family and friends, mastered the art of combining country and reggaeton into one playlist, traveled to over 10 countries, gone on countless boating days and weekend getaways, started a small business, bought their first home, and welcomed a furry baby into their lives. They have witnessed each other's major milestones and have watched each other grow into the individuals they are today while learning from one another and unconsciously deepening their relationship. They have been blessed with years of love, laughter, patience, lessons, and beautiful experiences together. Over the years it’s safe to say that this love story has no end and they are so excited to have their close family and friends witness them saying I DO!

For their seventh-year anniversary, Nick made dinner reservations at Klaw - which Giselle found odd considering they were leaving on a cruise the next day. Giselle went with it and even managed to schedule one last delivery for Pa’Picar on the way to dinner before officially beginning their vacation. Giselle initially had suspicions that something special could happen that day, but the day unfolded as usual, and Nick was very calm during dinner and even mentioned that he had plans with his sister afterward which convinced her nothing was going to happen. After a delicious meal, and life-changing crab Nick suggested a stroll by the water to catch the sunset – and despite Giselle wearing heels, she agreed. As they walked, Giselle was surprised by a beautiful setup with light-up letters that spelled "MARRY ME." Nick guided her closer to the setup, got down on one knee, and asked Giselle to spend the rest of her life with him. Overwhelmed with emotion, Giselle was shaking, in tears, and speechless, but her expressions gave it all away – after a few seconds, she finally said YES! In that moment their loved ones began cheering and came pouring out from behind a tree, making the moment even more magical. The following day, they set sail on the cruise Giselle initially thought was a much-needed vacation but turned out to be a beautiful celebration!
