We met as co-workers at Red Robin in West Covina—yes, the infamous "Red Robin… Yummmm!" place. At the time, I was a seasoned server with years of experience at the restaurant, while he was the new hire. I didn’t know where he came from or what he’d done before joining the team, but my natural curiosity (and friendly nature) led me to ask him a few questions about his background. At first, I didn’t think much of it. But as the months went by, we discovered we shared the same taste in music (though not all the same tastes in food, unfortunately). I also noticed how maturely he carried himself—much more so than many of our other team members—and that caught my attention. His strong work ethic was undeniable, and the pride he took in his work only added to what I admired about him. What started as casual conversations during our breaks soon blossomed into a genuine friendship. Eventually, that friendship turned into something more. A year later, he officially asked me to be his girlfriend at Dodger Stadium—a special moment that also marked my introduction to micheladas. To this day, we still use the same recipe that our longtime friend and Dodger Stadium Bartender, Sergio shared with us all those years ago! Since then, we’ve faced our fair share of trials and tribulations, but each challenge has only made our bond stronger. Through it all, we’ve grown into better versions of ourselves, together. We've traveled, celebrated our greatest achievements, and created countless memories along the way. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’d say our love is definitely well-seasoned. We can't wait to start our married lives together and create new memories for years to come. Love, Gigi & Lio (The future Pinedos)
