5:00 pm - 5:30 pm
The ceremony will take place in the courtyard of this historic building. In the early 1800s, it was owned and operated by Louis J. Dufilho, Jr., America’s first licensed pharmacist.
5:45 pm - 6:00 pm
If you’ve been to New Orleans before, there’s a good chance you’ve seen a wedding parade march through the streets of the French Quarter. This is called a “Second Line” parade, and it is a uniquely New Orleans experience rooted in African-American traditions with some military brass band influences. The brass band and the wedding couple are at the beginning of the line, and are actually considered the “first line.” They are followed by the “second line”, consisting of family and friends...and even spectators who wish to join in on the fun! Weather permitting, we’ll get to take part of the New Orleans tradition as we march from the ceremony to the reception.
6:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Dinner, drinks and dancing to follow our second line! The reception will take place in the courtyard of this established New Orleans restaurant, where the Bananas Foster dessert and Bloody Bull cocktail were invented. It's an outdoor space that can get a little chilly at night—we recommend bringing a shawl or light jacket.
