We typically land in Leonardo da Vinci International Airport in Rome when traveling to Assisi. From the airport, you can take the Leonardo Express to Roma Termini, where you can then take a train to Assisi via Trenitalia. From Roma Termini Station, you can take a train to Assisi (usually with one connection in Foligno). From the train station in Assisi, you can take a short taxi ride to the old town at the top of the hill (about €10). Otherwise there is the option of the bus. Are you tired yet? It's a long journey, but worthwhile!
