Our Love Story

It all started at a wedding. Jordan was a bridesmaid, and Max was the officiant. The night was full of celebration, but for most of it, we were in our own worlds—Jordan mingling with friends and Max tearing up the dance floor. But as the night went on, something shifted, and we finally found each other (shout out to our sister/future sister-in-law for manifesting this day!). Even though we lived in different cities—Max in Cleveland and Jordan in New York—there was an undeniable spark between us. We kept in touch, non-stop texting and talking, and it didn’t take long before Max invited Jordan to another wedding. After that, the rest was history. 80+ flights. 40,000+ miles traveled. 14+ Ohio State football games at The Shoe. Too many drinks at Plank’s to count. 20+ Sunday brunches. 2 trips to Schroon Lake. 1 move to New York. And then, Max surprised Jordan with the proposal of a lifetime… We both knew this day was coming, but when? Max would not give any detail and wanted to completely surprise Jordan. Being the overachiever that he is, Max succeeded!! One Saturday at home, Max asked Jordan to go to brunch at one of our favorite places, she agreed of course, nothing out of the ordinary. As we were about to leave, Max stopped Jordan, grabbed her hands, got on one knee and proposed – while it was through many happy tears, Jordan immediately said yes! Hand in hand, over-the-moon, with the biggest of smiles, Max and Jordan walked to brunch on the Upper West Side. As we walked in, Jordan waited for the maître-d and Max just stared at her and said, “um, do you see who’s over there?” SURPRISE! Right in the front there were two full tables of our closest friends. Jordan could not believe it, so thankful for an amazing fiancé planning a perfect day and incredible friends coming to celebrate with us! But the surprises didn’t stop there, pictures in Central Park, beer & football at our favorite sports bar, dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, and live music to end the night! From meeting at a wedding to now planning our own, we could not be more excited to continue this journey side by side. We cannot wait to eat, drink, dance and celebrate with all of you!
