The wedding is semi-formal/dressy casual and will be completely indoors.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we obviously love children (hello…eight between the two of us!), we welcome only children under five years of age or who are family of the bride and groom. For family members who plan on bringing babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, we are unable to provide special seating or a special menu for the children. Because of the nature of the venue, children will need to be supervised at all times.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

In keeping our day simple and manageable for us, we will not be intentionally offering foods that are free of common allergens, but feel free to contact either the bride or the groom with concerns or questions by June 1, 2022.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels and wedding venue?

Answer

Guests are responsible for securing their own transportation. We encourage you to take advantage of the free Cincinnati Bell streetcar that drops off right across the street from the venue!

Can I take photos or videos during the ceremony?

Answer

As we want to see your smiling faces during our ceremony and not your devices, we request that you do not use your phones or cameras during the ceremony. Adhering to this request will ensure that everyone can truly experience the ceremony and that the talented hired photographer can do his/her work unencumbered. However, once we are announced at the reception as Mr. and Mrs., feel free to take your shots!

Can I post photos or videos of the wedding on social media?

We cannot wait to see all of the special moments that you capture with your phones and cameras on our special day, but we do ask that you use our unique hashtag #TeamGLow when you post so that we don’t miss a single shot! Don’t worry about trying to remember that off the top of your head…we promise to have reminders posted at the venue.

May I smoke at the venue?

Smoking of any kind is prohibited anywhere inside the Library or building.

Where should I park at the wedding venue?

Answer

As the Mercantile Library does not have its own parking lot, you will need to secure garage parking. The closest and easiest parking lot is the Fountain Square South Parking Garage which is right across the street from the venue. As Walnut Street, the street that the venue is on, is a one-way street, you will have to circle half-way around the block in order to access the entrance to the garage. The garage does have a minimal cost, but you can park for 3 hours for $7.00. Reservations ahead of time can also be made if desired.
