North Central College
Visit the place where our love story started- our college! North Central is located right in downtown Naperville. You can take a peak in the basketball gym where Vince spends most of his time and then take a few steps over to the stadium where Gina played lacrosse.
Naperville Riverwalk
Take a stroll through Vince and Gina's college backyard. Downtown Naperville is filled with cute shops, amazing restaurants and bars, a beautiful river with adjacent trails and live music.
Portillo's Hot Dogs
Did you really go to Illinois if you didn't stop at Portillo's? If you are looking for a quick bite over the weekend, look no further than one of the many Portillo's locations throughout the suburbs. Gina's go- to order: Italian beef with sweet peppers and mozzarella, onion rings with a side of their liquid gold (cheese) and a chocolate cake shake. Vince's go-to order: Chicago-style hotdog , cheese fries and a root beer.
Santo Cielo
Kill some time before the reception by sipping on a cocktail at this brand new roof top bar in downtown Naperville.
Waterfall Glen Forest Preserve
Waterfall Glen is a 15 minute drive from the Sheraton. To reach the Rocky Glen waterfall parking lot, take Cass Avenue 1.5 miles south of Northgate Road to Bluff Road. Take Bluff Road 0.3 mile east to the lot.
Divvy Bike through Chicago
One of our favorite things to do in the city is rent a Divvy Bike and explore Chicago. It's the best way to hit up all Chicago's 'must-see' in a few hours all while getting in a workout! Cycle over to Millennium Park to visit the Bean, Maggie Daley Park for mini golf and rock climbing, Navy Pier for a beautiful view of the skyline and if you're really feeling risky, take a stroll over to Wrigley Field, just make sure to leave your Cardinals gear at home!
