Denver Airport Tips and Tricks

The Denver Airport is a famously fickle beast. Read through the tips below to set yourself up for success when traveling in and out of this airport. Tip #1: The Denver Airport is huge and accommodates direct flights from most major cities in the US. That being said, it can be hectic at popular travel times and it has been under construction for the past......seven years or so? We recommend booking flights that allow for some buffer time just in case. Tip #2: While the Denver airport is only a 35 minute drive from our venue, we recommend using very conservative travel time estimates when planning your itinerary. There is only one major road to and from the airport and it can get very congested at popular times. It's very possible the drive from the airport to our venue could be closer to an hour depending on time of day. Tip #3: If you choose to reserve a rental car, we recommend giving yourself an additional 30 minute buffer. Rental car facilities at the airport are 10-15 minutes away from the airport exit via shuttle. Tip #4: Never, and we mean NEVER, look Bluecifer in the eye. Bluecifer is the giant blue horse statue with glowing red eyes standing over 30 feet tall just before the entrance to the Denver airport. For more info about Bluecifer, or to go down a rabbit hole of conspiracy theories about the Denver airport, feel free to Google "Weird facts about the Denver Airport" in your downtime.
