Can I bring a guest?

Answer

We are so excited to celebrate with our family and friends! Due to space and planning considerations, we kindly ask that only those listed on the invitation attend. Thank you for understanding and helping us keep our guest list manageable.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend arriving 30 minutes before the ceremony begins so you have plenty of time to park, find your seat, and get settled. Light refreshments will be available for guests upon arrival.

Where should I park?

Answer

If you are staying at Courtyard by Marriott Glenview, shuttles will be available to and from the venue. The Redfield Estate also has plenty of on-site parking available for guests who are driving directly. If you are coming from Chicago, Ubers or Lyfts can get a little pricey depending on the time of day. However, Glenview has two Metra stops conveniently located a short/cheap Uber ride away. If you have any additional questions about transportation, please reach out to Gillian directly!

What should I wear?

Answer

Our wedding will be held outdoors, and we ask guests to dress in semi-formal attire. We kindly request that guests avoid wearing jeans. Since it will be August, we know it may be a little warm, so please feel free to choose lightweight fabrics and attire that keeps you comfortable while still fitting the semi-formal dress code. For those looking for guidance, light pastel colors are encouraged and will complement the setting beautifully, though they are not required. Because portions of the event will take place on grass, block heels, wedges, or other grass-friendly footwear are recommended for comfort and ease of walking.

What if it rains?

Our wedding will take place rain or shine! We've made plans for all types of weather, so we look forward to celebrating together no matter what Mother Nature has in store.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We invite you to be fully present with us during the ceremony and kindly ask that phones and cameras be put away, as we have a wonderful photographer on site to capture the magic moments. Once the ceremony is over, we’d love for you to take and share photos during the reception!

Will food be served?

Answer

Yes! Dinner and refreshments will be provided, and we’re so excited to share a meal with you. Dinner will be served buffet style, with gluten-free and vegetarian options available.
