Question

It's after August 4th... Can I still RSVP?

Answer

RSVP's have officially closed as of August 4th, and we are no longer accepting RSVP's through our website. If you have already RSVP'd, and need to make changes to your plans, please contact us directly. If you are planning on coming to the wedding but were not able to RSVP before August 4th, please reach out to us directly. We can't wait to celebrate with everyone!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The venue doors open up at 3:00 - please feel free to arrive anytime after then. Our ceremony starts at 4:00!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would like to keep it classy, but by no means is this a black tie affair. Cocktail attire or semi-formal attire is preferred, but if you want to show off your best western jacket, and the nicest boots and jeans you own - rock it.

Question

Are my kids allowed to come?

Answer

Due to the nature of the property itself (the venue is located on a working farm property, in the middle of nowhere outside of Beloit, next to a river) we would like to limit this event to 21+. If an exception needs to be made please reach out to us. If you have children, please plan in advance. Thank you for your understanding!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Please visit the "Travel" page, listed above in the menu bar to view some of our recommended hotels in Beloit, WI.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There are currently no shuttle services providing transport from any of the hotels listed in the travel section of this website. Please plan ahead and prepare to transport yourself to and from the venue - there will be an open bar, so please drink responsibly, and never drive under the influence. Cellular service at the venue is okay, but far from perfect and it can be spotty at times - especially if everyone is on their phone calling a cab at the same time. If you do not plan on parking at the venue, scheduling an Uber, Lyft, or Cab in advance is a safe bet. Walking to the venue from your hotel is not recommended and can be a bit dangerous if attempted, as the venue is in a rural Beloit and the closest recommended hotel is 8 miles away.

Question

Since there is no shuttle, is parking available at the venue?

Answer

There is parking at the venue - but it is not a standard paved parking lot. Parking is located in a field that is partially gravel, and partially grass and is for the most part, unfinished. 2wd vehicles should have no problem parking here, but kleep in mind that if it has rained, or is raining, things might get a little muddy.

Question

I followed the gps, but it led me to a dead end road and there's farm equipment... Am I in the right spot?

Answer

Yes! Old Coon Creek Inn is located on a working farm property, at the very end of W. Smith Road. The closest crossroad/corner is the intersection at W Smith Rd, and S County Road H. The venue is just down the street from the Historic Beckman Mill. If you need the address again, it is: 9001 W Smith Rd, Beloit, WI 53511. The approximate coordinates are: 42.511921, -89.179134. Directions from Beloit: From downtown Beloit at Water Tower Park (1002 White Ave, Beloit, WI 53511), head southwest on White Ave toward Woodward Ave and continue straight across the bridge onto Portland Ave for 0.3 miles. Turn right onto 4th st after crossing the bridge, and then turn left onto RT 81 (W Liberty Ave). Take RT 81 (W Liberty Ave) West for approximately 4.6 miles and make a left turn onto W Mill Pond Rd. Continue on W Mill Pond Rd for 2.1 miles and turn left onto S County Rd H. Continue on S County Rd H for 0.4 miles and turn right onto W Smith Rd. Continue down W Smith Rd for 0.4 miles, and Old Coon Creek Inn will be at the end of the road.

Question

The most important question... Is there an open bar?

Answer

Do you really think we wouldn't have an open bar? The answer is, of course, yes! Please drink responsibly, and don't forget to tip your bartenders. Disclaimer: You must be 21+ with a government issued driver's license or state ID to drink alcoholic beverages at Old Coon Creek Inn. Old Coon Creek Inn and its representatives reserve the right to refuse the serving of alcohol to any guest.
