Hilton Head Island has miles of paved biking trails, so hop on a bike and start exploring! Take a ride through Sea Pines and stop at the Stoney Barnard Ruins for a little history, Harbour Town for coffee at the bakery, and the Salty Dog for happy hour! Keep biking outside the Sea Pines gates and you’ll reach Coligny Plaza, full of shops and restaurants and right across from the beach. If you are staying in Sea Pines, we recommend Sea Pines Bike Rentals or South Beach Bike Rentals. If you are are staying outside of Sea Pines, Cross Island Bike Rental and Island Life Bike Rentals are great options.

Since 1970, the Sea Pines Forest Preserve has been a protected area for wildlife habitat and outdoor exploration. Following the construction of the first trails in the early 1970s, the preserve has grown to include bridle paths, wetland boardwalks, bridges and fishing docks. Pick up a map and explore the trails at your pace! Please respect the rules and regulations of the reserve while exploring.
