FAQs

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

We're so excited to celebrate this special day surrounded by our closest family and friends. As we're keeping it intimate, only those formally invited on your wedding invitation can be accommodated. If you have a plus one, it will be noted on your invitation and when you RSVP.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We love an excuse to dress up and invite you to do so for our wedding! The reception will be a formal event and we request you dress for the occasion, and pull out the formal dress or outfit you’ve been waiting to wear! Men should wear a suit and tie or tux, and women should wear a dress tea length or longer. Our Friday Sunset Happy Hour is bright and fun! We invite you to wear your favorite coastal attire.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

Our wedding is located inside the gates of the Sea Pines Resort. If rentals properties are your style, you can find them through the Sea Pines Resort or other rental property apps like Airbnb. There is also a Marriott Vacation Club in Sea Pines next to our wedding venue, which releases rooms 10 months in advance. Because there are so many ways to stay on the island, we did not reserve a room block at a particular hotel.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

Hilton Head Island is a wonderful family destination and we understand you may wish to bring the whole family! While children are not invited to our wedding ceremony or reception, they are welcome to attend our Friday Night Before Party. Babysitting services can be arranged through Guardian Angels by calling 877-470-4277 or by visiting guardianangelssittingservice.com

Question

How do I travel around the island?

Answer

Hilton Head Island can be tricky to navigate around without a car. Both Savannah International Airport and Hilton Head Island Airport have rental cars available. If you choose to use ride service apps, be prepared to wait or make sure to schedule your ride far in advance. While Hilton Head Island is only about 12 miles long, the Low Country has a “Slow Country” mentality. It does take a while to drive places, so make sure you allow ample time to reach all of your destinations!

Question

Is Sea Pines gated?

Answer

Yes, the Sea Pines Resort is a gated community on Hilton Head Island and you must have a pass to enter by car, bicycle, or foot. If you choose to stay in the Sea Pines Resort, you will be provided gate passes for the duration of your stay at check-in. All wedding guests will receive a gate access for our wedding weekend. Please enter the resort through the gate at 32 Greenwood Drive and tell the attendant you are here for the Gill/Fowler wedding!

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Formal invitations will be sent in Summer 2026, where you will be able to note food preferences and dietary restrictions. If you already know this date will not work for you, we appreciate you letting us know in advance.
