This is the beach where we will be on Saturday if anyone wants to join! Directions: To get there, travel about three miles down Corn Neck Road, and look for a dirt road on the right with a Mansion Beach Road sign. Follow it to the end, and you’ll find a large parking area, built around the foundation of the old mansion, with a short path the beach. No mopeds are allowed on the dirt road. Note: There is a small bathroom facility and no food option.
The town beach is close to town and has the largest parking lot. You can get there via car, taxi, moped, and bike. If the parking lot is full you can park on the side of the road and walk over the dunes via the paths. Note: There are bathroom facilities and a snack shack.
Directions: You’ll find a parking area about two miles up Corn Neck Road on the right marked with a “Scotch Beach” sign, and beach access is marked by gray posts that read “beach access.” Scotch Beach is also an attractive spot for boaters, who can dock their dinghies at the aptly named Dingy Beach and walk across Cross Neck Road to visit it. Note: The parking lot is small but you can park along the road. There are no bathroom facilities but you can walk down the beach to use Fred Benson Town Beaches facilities. It's not close for children.
A favorite restaurant of Emma's Grampie, the Oar has a fantastic lawn that overlooks the water! It can get very busy here at lunch and dinner time so we recommend trying to go slightly off hours. The sushi here is a favorite! Go inside the bar area to see oars that have been donated from different people.
A fun bar on Payne's Dock that is near the Oar restaurant. Stop by here for live music and a cocktail!
A fun spot for breakfast and lunch that overlooks the water! They have great barbecue food and a casual eating area.
Explore the beaches and greenway trails to try and find a Block Island Glass Float! Emma and Ryan have found two over the years and love exploring new parts of the island. The link below includes more information about the search.
A popular hiking spot that gives you a few different options for trails to explore. The trail is relatively easy to walk. We enjoy walking straight down the path to the views of the water!
A popular hiking spot (and where Emma and Ryan found their first Glass Float!) that brings you to a secluded beach. The road to Clayhead Trail is not moped friendly. The beach is rocky so keep your sneakers on! You can also turn left when you get to the beach for some great views! This walk is relatively easy.
