FIRST FRIDAY
Every month, on First Friday, Downtown York turns out! Streets are shut down, tables are put out. It's a whole thing and we love it! If you want to eat at a restaurant, you really need a reservation. But also, just walk around and explore. Get lost in a vintage shop, have fun in the Central Market. Explore York!
Central Market
There are some shops open Friday, but especially on Saturdays the market comes to life and is a great way to spend the morning. Wander around the stalls, grab some breakfast/brunch/lunch, and putter around downtown York!
101-151 State Route 462 Parking
Recommended for two reasons- first, free parking on the weekends! Second, we actually had our first kiss in this parking garage. No, there is no plaque marking this momentous moment.
The Fig & Barrel Pub
Wood Fired Pizza and Pre/Prohibition Cocktails! Fig and Barrel was (and is) a favorite date spot for us. Recommendations are the Wood Fired Brussel Sprouts, the Brava Tots, the BBQ Pizza, and always a Sazerac for Brian!
Prince Street Cafe
Solid choice for a cup of coffee in the morning! Kaitlyn likes their pistachio milk chai latte...mostly cause there's nowhere else she's ever had a pistachio latte!
Holy Hound Taproom
If you're in the mood for a beer, this is your place. Multiple chalkboards of options, many of them more locally made! Solid choice for dinner or lunch.
House of Yoga
This is the studio where Kaitlyn first fell in love with Yoga! The vibes are great, the classes are fun, and it's a great chance to reset. Bonus: Saturday 12pm class is taught by Emily, a close friend of Kaitlyn's!
Heritage Hills Golf Resort
Our first date spot! We may try to hit it up ourselves the wedding weekend for a little nostalgia. The restaurant is good too (also part of the first date).
