We met in 2020 through the dating app Coffee Meets Bagel. I knew he was interested when he paid money for more "coffee beans" to keep our conversation going. Our first date, during the pandemic, was just watching some of my weird favorite movies and eating snacks while chatting. We chatted regularly on the phone. We kept setting up dates and times to meet. He kept showing up. I kept showing up. The moment I realized it was getting serious was when we got a Costco membership together. We even talked through how we'd handle that if we ended up splitting up. But that meant we were together, right? I started to find joy in the mundane. In errands. In basic things like a drive outside with the wind in my hair listening to some good tunes. And eventually I realized the joy wasn't in going on a date to Costco or any of these other things but rather who I was going with. I'm the slower one in this regard so I think he came to this conclusion a lot sooner. We've been there for each other through small and big milestones alike. And we both couldn't be happier to share this upcoming joyous day with all of you, the people who helped shape us into who we are and have been part of our lives.
