We met through mutual friends when we were both invited to dinner at Hacienda. We ate dinner and all went stargazing so the photographers in the group could get astro shots. We camped out on the side of a country road for multiple hours. Micah was more focused on getting to know me rather than taking pictures, and we found ourselves talking as if no one else were there. We hung out every night for the next week until Micah moved back to Kansas for his Sophomore year at McPherson College. We both weren't sure how a long distance relationship would work but gave it a shot and it worked out in our favor! Looking back we both never thought our end of summer romance would turn into this.
May 25th, was our last day in Kansas for Micah’s graduation weekend. Micah suggested that we end the weekend by visiting our favorite place; Coronado Heights. We said goodbye to our families and did some last minute packing. Coronado Heights has always been a special spot that we visit whenever I am in town. Micah said we should both get dressed up and do a photoshoot there since it would be our last time visting for awhile. The plan was to get there for sunset and admire the view together. While we were taking it all in Micah started reminding me of all the times we have spent there and the good memories we have made. Then the conversation started to switch and we began talking more about us and our relationship. Micah then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! I was completey caught off guard and was so excited to say yes! Micah had his photography teacher there capturing pictures of the proposal and we did a mini photoshoot following!
