Part of the The College of Physicians of Philadelphia, this museum is a collection of anatomical specimens and antique medical equipment. Pass on this if you're squeamish, indulge if you want to look at things like the actual ribcage of a person who wore a corset their entire life, or an unbelievably large colon.
This is an exhibit by Philly-born, Brooklyn-raised mosaic mural artist Isaiah Zagar--it is SO cool. Most of it is outside--a garden of twisty passages and narrow corridors, every inch of which is mosaic'd. It's got a small footprint so it doesn't take long to see it all. Absolutely worth a visit!
98% of people climbing the stairs are having someone film them so they can post it to Instagram captioned with a Rocky quote. We love to stand at the bottom of the stairs and watch this happen. It's performance art and you haven't even set foot in the museum!
Everything inside is delish.
Spoiler alert: this bell is cracked.
