Question

DO I NEED A PASSPORT?

Answer

YES- a passport is required to enter Mexico from the USA, Canada and Europe. If you do not have a passport, we recommend applying ASAP as wait times can be very long. Passports must be valid for 6 months past your return date, so please double check the expiration.

IS THERE A MINIMUM NIGHT REQUIREMENT?

Answer

YES- a 3 night minimum is required to stay in the room block and to benefit from the group rates. However, group rates will apply for anywhere from 3 to 9 nights stay. If you would like to stay longer than 9 nights, please contact our travel agent, Lisa.

HOW DO I BOOK MY ROOM?

Answer

You must book through our personalized booking link in the "TRAVEL & BOOKING" section of this website. If you have questions, Lisa is your go-to-gal for all things travel. You can email her at ljohnson@destinationweddings.com

HOW DO I BOOK MY FLIGHT?

Answer

You may book your flight through your preferred method. Lisa, our travel agent, will collect your flight information in December/January so she can arrange for your hotel transfers.

WHEN DO I HAVE TO BOOK MY ROOM?

Answer

We ask that you please place your deposit ($50 USD per person) to secure your room by August 13th, 2025. There are a limited number of discounted rooms and we recommend booking as soon as possible to secure your preferred room! You will be able to make payments until September 13th, 2025. Any rooms booked after August 13th, 2025 will need to be paid in full. **THE LAST DAY TO BOOK A ROOM IS SEPTEMBER 13th, 2025.**

DOES AN RSVP "YES" GUARANTEE ME A ROOM?

We are so thrilled you are able to join us to celebrate our wedding! Your RSVP "Yes" does not guarantee you a room. Please head over to our booking website and place your deposit to secure your room. CAN I STAY AT A DIFFERENT RESORT/HOTEL NEARBY?

All guests are required to stay at UNICO 20°87° and must book directly with our Travel Agent- you can use the link on the "TRAVEL & BOOKING" page to reserve your accommodations!

RESORT CREDIT

Answer

Enjoy $200 per room, per night in resort credits which can be used for the spa, beauty salon or golf (Hard Rock golf course). A 35% service fee applies for all services or activities. Information will be provided upon check-in.

IS UNICO 20°87° ALL INCLUSIVE?

Answer

YES! From the moment you arrive at the hotel, your food, drinks, and all activities (except excursions and spa services). We recommend bringing cash for tips (no need to exchange to Pesos as the resort accepts US Dollars.)

DO I NEED TO MAKE RESTAURANT RESERVATIONS AT THE RESORT AHEAD OF TIME?

Answer

Though not required, we recommend making dinner reservations at least two weeks BEFORE you arrive, in order to make sure you get your desired time and restaurant! This is perfect for nights where there are no wedding events. You can make reservations 30 days prior to your arrival by emailing prearrivalhost@unicohotelrm.com OR through the app "RCD hotels" available for iphone and androids. *They take reservations while on the resort - booking ahead ensures larger groups can eat together*

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE AT UNICO 20°87°?

Answer

We recommend staying from Friday-Monday as there is a minimum requirement of 3 nights, and there will be a welcome party on Friday. If you'd like to stay longer than 3 nights, we would love to have you (and we hope that you do! After all, this is your vacation, too).

CAN WE DO EXCURSIONS ON OUR OWN?

Absolutely! There are so many excursions to choose from, either booked directly at the hotel or from various websites online.

DO WE HAVE TO STAY WITH THE GROUP THE ENTIRE TIME?

Answer

On days where there are no wedding events, please feel free to explore and do things on your own as you like. You will definitely catch us at the swim up bar!

IS TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM THE AIRPORT AVAILABLE?

Answer

Yes! This will be included in your room block when you book through the link in the "TRAVEL & BOOKING" section. Transfers will be semi-private, meaning you will be sharing a shuttle with other wedding guests that will be arriving at the same time.

WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE?

Answer

It should be nice and warm! The average high is 84°F , with a low of 72°F at night. It is dry season too, so hopefully no rain!

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE FOR THE WEDDING?

Answer

The dress code for the ceremony & reception is Tropical Elegance/Beach Formal. The ceremony & reception are NOT on the beach/sand, so wear whatever shoes you'd be comfortable in. No shorts, please!

WHAT IF I CAN'T ATTEND?

Answer

We understand that you must prioritize what is best for your family, your commitments, and your budget. Please know that both of us will fully support and respect whatever decision you make. If you're unable to attend, we would appreciate it if you could kindly let us know, either individually or through the RSVP.

CAN I BRING CHILDREN?

Answer

UNICO 20°87° is an adults-only resort (over 18)- we appreciate you making arrangements to enjoy a child-free trip!

IS TRIP INSURANCE AVAILABLE?

Answer

Yes! Trip insurance can be purchased when you are reserving your room. For any questions regarding trip insurance, please contact Lisa at ljohnson@destinationweddings.com

ARE PAYMENT PLANS AVAILABLE?

Answer

Yes! There is a $50 deposit per person to reserve a room, due by August 13th, 2025. The final payment is due September 13th, 2025.

HELPFUL TIPS!

Answer

-Please avoid using the tap water. The hotel provides bottles of water in your room and throughout the resort. All of the restaurants serve filtered water. -Make dinner reservations ahead of time by emailing prearrivalhost@unicohotelrm.com Reservations can also be made through the app RCD hotels (iphone and android). These can be made up to 30 days prior to arrival. -Remember to bring all of your prescription and over the counter medications. The resort has a store where over the counter medications can be purchased, however they can be quite costly. -Download WhatsApp. This is how you will be able to communicate with your host/personal concierge while at the resort. Your host will also be able to assist you with reservations and any questions regarding the resort. -Although not required, all servers and resort staff appreciate tips. Small bills are best and USD are accepted! -Bring an insulated tumbler/cup to keep your drinks cool while lounging in the sun. You may choose to bring reusable straws as the resort does not have any. -Crafts in the lobby every night at 6pm. First come, first serve. -The resort provides pool/beach towels. No need to bring your own. -There is a local artist who paints the hats provided in your room on Wednesdays & Saturdays! -Don't forget your passport. -Bring MUCH more sunscreen than you think you need!
