What's the attire?

Answer

The "dress code" is cocktail attire. Essentially, we want you to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable, confident, and dance floor-ready. We're sure you'll look great. Our venue has a coat room.

How will I get to the venue?

Answer

For those who are booking a room through our wedding block at the Royal Sonesta River North, we will be providing a complimentary shuttle to and from the wedding venue. We will share more information closer to the date. For those who are planning to drive, there is secure complimentary parking available at the venue.

Will you be able to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences?

Answer

We will be serving buffet-style Thai food from one of our favorite restaurants, Star of Siam. All food will be pescatarian and kosher-style. Food will be labeled with any potential allergens and there will be options for all.

It says the "tisch" starts at 4pm? What's a tisch?

Answer

A "tisch" is sometimes part of Jewish wedding ritual. It's a lively singing and toasting ritual before the ceremony that’s typically divided by gender. We’re holding a joint tisch inspired by our favorite songbook full of labor folk songs called Rise Up Singing. We invite all guests to attend the tisch, though it is optional. If you come, you have to sing! If you'd prefer not to attend the tisch, that's totally fine. Please arrive by 5pm to be seated for the ceremony at 5:15pm.
