We met again at the birthday party of a mutual friend, it had probably been years since the last time we saw each other— To all this, Rolo had returned to live in Peru for a few years and decided that it was no longer where he wanted to live; now he wanted to try whether to move back to USA or go to Spain. Gia, on the other hand, was still in California, transitioning jobs. ... Going back to the birthday party, apparently that night we had a lot to talk about or it was probably that we were the only ones who had come alone to this group of couples' reunion, but it was the excellent excuse to get to know each other better. We did know each other, but not like that to tell each other things in detail. The night went by very quickly, and we had such fun that Rolo invited Gia out the next day, this time just the two of us ... from that day on we experienced hours-long conversations, laughter, trips, fights, agreements and of course also disagreements and with it growth and understanding, too much love and well ... the rest is history! Obviously Rolo decided that California was where he would stay! FUN FACT: As children we lived for a short period and coincidentally at the same time in the same city in Peru and even went to the same school but we did not meet until much later, as adults and living in another country.

Ya había comprado el anillo desde mucho, pero pensando qué día seria el más apropiado para pedirla, pasaron semanas. Pensando la forma cómo pedirla, pasaron más semanas. Fue un poco difícil programarlo por el Covid-19, pero no era imposible. Decidimos ir a Hawaii de vacaciones por nuestro aniversario y me dije “este es el momento ideal!” Le comenté a los papás de Gia un día antes que quería pedirle la mano y al día siguiente el amanecer en la playa fue el escenario perfecto. Le abrí mi corazón, le dije todo lo que sentía por ella en estos 3 años y le pregunté si quería ser mi compañera de vida. Y con una mega sonrisa en la cara y un amoroso beso me dijo que sí. ENGLISH SUMMARY: We went to Hawaii celebrating our 3 year anniversary. Rolo asked Gia's parents for their blessing a day before and proposed in the sunrise on the beach. ...
