What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Cocktail dresses for the ladies and dress shirts and slacks/ sports coats for the gentlemen.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

15 min before the event starts to settle in and find a seat.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Most likely sunny and very comfortable between 77°F (25°C) and 65°F (18°C).

Will the ceremony and reception be at the same place?

Answer

No, the ceremony will take place at the Chapel of St. Therese in Mooresville, NC, and the reception will be in a beautiful backyard on Lake Norman (Chapel is 10 min away from 116 Sienna Pace Court, Mooresville, NC).

Will the ceremony and reception be held indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be indoors at the Chapel of St Therese. The reception is planned to be held outdoors in the backyard of a beautiful house on Lake Norman, weather permitting. In case of rain, we switch to plan B and have dinner tables and dance floor covered by a big tent.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, we kindly ask you to make your way over to the reception venue (10 min away) where you will be welcomed with a cocktail hour.

Where should guests park?

Answer

Valet parking will be available at the reception venue.

WILL TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM THE HOTEL TO THE VENUE BE PROVIDED?

Answer

No. However, we will have parking available at the reception venue.

CAN I BRING A DATE?

Answer

We have limited seating and are required to stick to our guest list. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

DO YOU HAVE A HOTEL BLOCK FOR GUESTS? WHERE DO YOU RECOMMEND TO STAY?

WILL THERE BE ANY VEGAN/VEGETARIAN/GLUTEN FREE/SPECIAL DIET OPTIONS?

Answer

Please let us know ahead of time if you need any special dietary options so that we can make accommodate your needs.

CAN I TAKE AND POST PICTURES OF THE WEDDING ON SOCIAL MEDIA?

Answer

We would like to encourage you to turn all your cell phones off during the ceremony. Afterwards, keep them in your pockets/purses as much as possible. We will have a photographer/videographer to capture the beautiful moments. However, if you do take photos - yes, please tag us on our social media accounts and utilise our wedding hashtag #gandd so we can keep track of all the extra photos!
