For guests staying at or near the Riverwalk Resort- there will be a shuttle to and from the wedding venue, from 1:45 to 3:15pm. For guests choosing to stay at an Airbnb- we have hired a driver for the evening that will pick guests up at convenient locations near their stays. If you would like to take advantage of this, please provide the address of your Airbnb when RSVPing, and we will put together a map with stops for the driver to make that will be disseminated to guests ahead of time. Guests are also welcome to drive themselves to and from the wedding venue. While this is an option, we do not condone drinking and driving, so if you plan on drinking please ensure that you have an alternative means of transportation for getting back home or have a designated driver. Guests may leave their vehicles in the parking lot of Loon Mountain Resort overnight for retrieval the next day.
Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held outdoors at the top of Loon Mountain. Guests will be taken up in a 15 minute gondola ride. The top of the mountain may be chilly at that time of year so we recommend bringing a coat or shawl. The cocktail hour will be held in the venue's Octagon Lodge, back at the base of the mountain, in the outdoor patio space. Lastly, our reception will be held indoors in the Octagon Lodge, with the option to use the outdoor patio. There will also be a fire pit on the patio that guests can use to warm up!
Please plan for formal attire, and don't forget your warm layers. Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. Knee length dresses or longer are preferred.
If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.
As much as we love all of the children in our life, we are only able to invite a few close family members’ children. We want our guests to be able to relax and enjoy themselves!
