FAQs

If you have any questions other than those listed here, please reach out to Gianna directly.
Question

Is there transportation to/from the reception (at Middleton Place) from Downtown?

Answer

Yes! We will have two buses bringing people from Downtown Charleston (following the Mass at St. Patrick's) to the reception at Middleton Place (about 30 mins away). The buses will return guests to Downtown Charleston at the end of the reception at Middleton Place.

Question

Is there transportation to/from the hotel blocks to the Church?

Answer

While there will not be a shuttle to the Church, St. Patrick's is downtown, so it should be a very short Uber ride or walk from the hotels and/or Air Bnbs.

Question

Can I rely on Ubering?

Answer

While there are plenty of Ubers in downtown Charleston, Middleton Place (reception venue) is 30 minutes outside the city, and Ubers can be limited. If you plan on leaving the reception early, we recommend you rent a car or pre-plan a taxi, as we cannot guarantee Ubers will be available.

Question

Is there parking at the reception (Middleton Place)?

Answer

Yes, there will be free parking at Middleton Place if you prefer to drive. If you are arranging your own transportation to the venue, please plan to arrive at Middleton Place at 5:00 pm.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail For ladies: flowy dresses, cocktail dress. For men: suits, sport coats. Please dress comfortably and consider bringing a jacket, as we will be outside for cocktail hour (weather permitting).

Since this is a Sunday wedding, will I as a Catholic need to go to Church again to fulfill my Sunday Obligation?
