Maid of Honor
Devynn, or Dev, is a creative, musically talented, and all around wonderful person. Dev works in student ministry with Damascus Road Tucson at the University of Arizona, which is where Karen and Dev met back in 2017. Since then, they have lived together for the past three years where they love to host events, play games, have spontaneous dance parties, and live life together. Dev is such a great blessing to both Jon and Karen as well as the church community as a whole. She is a beacon of happiness and always knows how to lighten the mood. A perfect combination for any Maid of Honor.
Tyler Stibrich
Best Man
Tyler is funny, passionate about film, and a great person overall. Tyler is a campus minister at Damascus Road in Tucson, and was actually the first person Jon spoke to when he moved to Arizona in 2021. Tyler and Jon enjoy going out for coffee and movies, and has been a great friend for both Jon and Karen. He is full of joy and has an effervescent spirit in everything he does; Jon couldn't ask for a better friend and best man!
Kara Walton
Bridesmaid
Kara is a smart, goofy, and fun-loving individual who, among other things, is a continual source of support for both Jon and Karen. She works for Carollo Engineers and is passionate about what she does. Not only that, but she will be getting married in the fall of 2024! Karen and Kara have known each other since 2017 when they bonded over their mutual love of the band NEEDTOBREATHE. The two can frequently be found laughing and goofing around with one another. Kara was also one of Jon's first friends upon his arrival to Tucson in 2021. It was through their friendship, that Jon and Karen ended up becoming close and ultimately getting married. Talk about a wing woman!
Daniel Lepper
Groomsman
Daniel is smart, caring, and a great friend of both Karen and Jon. Jon met Daniel at his Post-Grad Small church group, as well as through basically all of his mutual friendships with basically all of Jon's friends at church! Him and Jon have found lots of joy in playing games, a camping trip at The Grand Canyon, and talking about cooking. The two have grown closer over the last year, and Karen and Jon like to do double dates with Daniel and Kara! He very genuinely cares for people, and is always fun to be around!
Leah Turner
Bridesmaid
Leah is a silly, compassionate, and intelligent person. She is currently studying at the University of Texas in San Antonio to become an occupational therapist! Leah and Karen met in 2018 when Leah started coming to church at Damascus Road. However, they did not become close until they co-lead a virtual Bible Study and spent time together with weekly outdoor hangouts during the pandemic. Since 2020, Leah has been a go to person for Karen to confide in and seek advice from. Leah is truly a gift to anyone who has the pleasure of knowing her.
Kyle Turner
Groomsman
Kyle is goofy and fun loving! Him and Jon lived together for a year at an apartment that was not the greatest. Together they survived through gates that didn’t lock, 2 AM pool parties from rowdy neighbors, and an army of cockroaches. They did find lots of time and enjoyment in talking about and playing video games, watching anime, and they also went to a church small group together, as well as going camping at the Grand Canyon with Daniel! Kyle is an incredible friend, and someone Jon is very grateful to have in his life. Jon was a groomsman in Kyle and Leah’s wedding too!
Lia Crocker
Bridesmaid
Lia is an adventurous, creative, and unique individual. Lia works at the Biosphere 2, caring for the ocean and coral in Tucson. She and Karen became friends through their mutual friend (and bridesmaid) Kara and have only become closer since. She is also a part of Damascus Road's worship team, wow can she sing! When they're not at church, they enjoy breakfast dates, bonfires, playing boardgames, and talking in depth about Lia's plan to inhabit Antartica one day. Lia is a constant source of joy for Karen and for anyone who knows her.
Andrew Sennet
Groomsman
Andrew is kind, supportive, and loves doing just about anything that he can outside. Jon and Andrew met at church, and have bonded over playing D&D and other games. They both are from the eastern side of the US and find themselves defending that the Appalachians, while shorter than the Rockies, are still mountains. Andrew and Jon, as well as any of Andrew's other friends, are always able to have a good laugh and time together. He's easily able to bring joy to all of the people in his life at church, school, and anywhere else!
Arya Miller
Flower Girl
Arya is Karen's niece and is as sassy as any four-year-old can be. She and Auntie Karen always have so much fun playing and laughing together. She is energetic, bubbly, and full of spontaneity. Arya has a huge heart and gives the very best hugs, which her Auntie loves to receive.
Jack Giorgianni
Ring Bearer
Jack and Karen go way back. Back in 2016 she was present for his birth day where she was officially given the title, Auntie Karen. He is a sweet, imaginative, and fun-loving seven-year-old who loves learning new things. He also is probably the youngest Titanic enthusiast and will tell you all about it!
