The first meeting happened at the Coffee Rush in Gilbert, AZ. She ordered a coffee, he ordered a tea, and then there was a moment of awkwardness before hours of lively conversation between the two. We practically talked all night, just getting to know each other and exploring the building spark between us. We never could have imagined at this first meeting just how close we'd become, how strong our love would grow, and how happy we would be together.
It only took about a week for "the conversation" to happen. We decided that we liked each other and wanted to explore a committed relationship while we continued getting to know each other. The possibility of dating casually or seeing other people was simply a non-thought.
It was a beautiful Arizona winter and the Hannukah candles were burning brightly. Kailea was about to head off on a two-week trip to Israel and Ryan decided it was time to fully commit to the long haul. He said some sweet words about our relationship, not wanting to be apart for too long, and knowing he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. She couldn't even say a word at first, just engulfing him in a hug to whisper the "yes" he was waiting for.
