In 2016 both Shanice and John joined a social media app called Radiate, in order to meet other people going to the same events, both ended up joining a larger group chat that became very close as friends, some of which will be joining us at the ceremony/reception. We all met in person for the first time June 10th 2016 in Bethel Woods NY at the site of the famous Woodstock festival for an event called Mysteryland. From there freindships grew and more events were attended, and over the course of 2016 and 2017 John and Shanice grew closer before making the jump as an official couple February 3rd of 2018. Since then, they have travelled up and down the east coast of the United States and to Costa Rica to attend various types of events, and some of those artists will be part of the musical journey during our wedding.

December of 2022 one of our favorite and most seen artists; Griz, was playing a two day event in Hampton Beach VA, at the Hampton Coliseum called Space Camp, aptly so as one of the venues monikers is The Mothership. The second night's event would end close to midnight leading into December 18th, Shanices 30th birthday. After the show ended and we were a bit removed from the crowd John popped the question and Shanice excitedly said yes! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
