Chris and I are both very excited to be your hosts for the upcoming wedding of our daughter Brittany to Ryan Simmons. It is our goal that everyone not only thoroughly enjoys but also fully maximizes their time while here in the beautiful Ogunquit/York, Maine area. We strongly encourage and recommend that all who will be spending the night of the wedding here come spend some time exploring the Ogunquit/York areas after the wedding. Why not make it a long weekend? There are 2 hotel accommodations with rooms blocked. They are equally beautiful. The Anchorage by the Sea is located right on the ocean within a 5 minute walk of downtown Ogunquit. There are dozens of restaurants, bars and stores within walking distance. We have a block of rooms in The Tower building. Because this is a busy weekend, they are requiring a 2 night minimum stay but have told me that they will do their best to “work with us if some guests can only stay 1 night”. We have hired transportation to bring you to/from the wedding. They will have 14-passenger vans running back/forth all evening. The Cliff House is where the wedding ceremony, reception, and after party will be. It is located over the ocean on a cliff where each room has ocean views. It is a 5 star resort/spa and is the pricier of the two options. There are multiple options for rooms, but they also are requiring a two-night minimum stay to take advantage of their discount. It is also our objective that everyone have a great time at the wedding and be safe while visiting. The bar will be open all night and the best wedding band in the Northeast (The Silver Arrow Band) will be playing at the reception. There will also be an after-party on-premise at Nubb’s Lobster Shack that will run from 10-12:30. We don't want anyone driving to and from the wedding venue. (Shore Road is an extremely dangerous road, especially at night). We look forward to seeing you at the “Maine” event! Best regards, Michael & Chris Hunt
We are happy to report that almost 85% of our guests will be fully vaccinated! Please continue to take precautions leading up to/day of our celebration! Thank you to everyone who openly shared the information with us.
