Covid-19

Your health & Safety matter most to us!

Friends & Family, we understand that with the ever changing events of Covid-19 life has been so uncertain. As you can see from the annoucement on our page, we are moving forward as planned. Although the law in New Jersey does not currently require guests to take a test prior to attending functions. Justin and I will be taking precautions to take a test prior to the wedding day. Your safely is our priority! And we love and appreciate you all so much. For answers to questions around Covid and what other precautions our venue and venders are taking please head over to our FAQ tab. Thank you all for your continued love and support!

How We Met

First came Tinder, then came Marriage!

It was the Summer of 2015 before Chelsea's sophomore year of college. Chelsea had been on Tinder a few times while back home in New Jersey. She had met a few guys on there, but like most guys on dating apps they turned out to be jerks. Around July, she came upon Justin, and when she saw his pictures the first thing that went through her mind was, "there's no way this guy is real." But she took a chance and swiped right to him and to her surprise they matched! All she could think about was, "how could a guy this attractive think I'm just as attractive?" (Lol) Justin messaged Chelsea first, (cause she's a chicken and doesn't like messaging guys first) and the two talked on and off for over a month. You can say Chelsea made Justin work for it :) Fast forward a month after talking and a week before Chelsea was supposed to head back to school for her sophomore year, She agreed to meet Justin. She had told Justin that she was planning on deleting Tinder so he insisted they meet. The crazy thing about their first meeting was Justin didn't have a phone so he was using his iPod. So he could only communicate with Chelsea on Snapchat at one point. But it all worked out and they agreed to meet in this cute little town outside of one of Justin's Aunt's Spas. Their first meeting was pretty awkward, but he made her laugh and they talked like they did on Tinder. But all Chelsea kept thinking about was how she was going back to school soon. In Rhode Island, in less than a week so what would be the point of this? Maybe they would stay friends? Or maybe they would never talk again? But Justin surprised Chelsea as he always does. After she explained to him how far of a drive her school was from Jersey he instantly said, "Oh Rhode Island? That's not that far, I'd drive up there to come and see you." And from there Justin continued to surprise Chelsea by actually coming up to see her at school once a month and the rest was history.

Why We Eloped

Was it rushed? Oh yes.

For those of you who may not have already realized, we are already married. When did we tie the knot you may wonder? Back in April 2019. Justin had officially received his ship date for Basic Military Training in February of that year. We both knew that we wanted to get married, especially to get those military benefits (mhmm 😏). So we started to plan it out. I told Justin that he could not marry me without proposing to me first, so he made it happen on Saint Patrick's Day in 2019. The man didn't even realize he was doing it on a holiday. From there it was rapid fire, we did pre-marital counseling (a big thank you to our officiant Andrew) and we scheduled to have a super intimate wedding with a few of our friends and family. From there, we had a mini-moon in Houston, Texas (Shout out to Dorian for being a great tour guide), and then Justin shipped off to basic. So was it rushed? Oh yes, and that is why we cannot wait to celebrate with you all in June 2021!
