Rather than doing our full ceremony again, on July 9, 2022, we will be having a reception (with some special surprises) to finally celebrate our marriage with more of our loved ones. Due to a variety of circumstances we do have to reduce the number attending, but keep an eye out for an invitation in the next month or so!

On Ryan's birthday, I noticed that we were Facebook friends and I wasn't sure how, so I sent him a message to tell him that and wished him a happy birthday. We ended up texting regularly after that, until we ran into each other on fireworks night during Seaway Festival. We ran into each other again the next morning before the parade, I bribed him to help me carry heavy things into my new house the following Monday, and he's been stuck carrying heavy things for me ever since :)

We went to Ryan's grandmother's house for Christmas Eve pizza with his family. We decided to stay after everyone left so that we could give his grandmother her Christmas gift. After she opened it, Ryan went down the hallway - I assumed to the bathroom. He yelled back that he put a gift for me in the Christmas tree, so I started complaining to his grandmother that I would never find a mystery gift among all of her ornaments. As I was searching the tree, Ryan came back into the living room in a blazer and I thought 'Why is he wearing a blazer and where did he get it?' The answer to that question became obvious pretty quickly! We found out later that his grandparents also got engaged on Christmas Eve!
