The Fellowship of the Rings

The Wedding Website of Amy Tomlinson and John O'Dea
We have their swords, and their bows, and their axes. They're our Wedding Party.

Katie McCall

Maid of Honor

Stranger > dorm neighbor > friend > we were never in a sorority > roommate > best friend > maid of honor. It's crazy to me that we've been buds for over a decade since it feels like so much longer. There's no one I'd rather make a batch of quesadillas with at 3am by which I mean she makes them and I eat them. She has absolutely made me a better person and I wouldn't be where I am today without her. And you can't find a better hiking partner around.

Jack Cavanagh

Best Man

Stranger > dorm neighbor > friend > fraternity brother > roommate > best friend > best man. I've had the pleasure of celebrating 10 years, a tinversery, of knowing this man. He's helped shape who I am and where I am in life that ultimately led me to Amy. He’s a DMB groupie, DBZ fan, Green Power Ranger stan, Kelly Kapowski lover and loser at darts.

Julie Bugner

Bridesmaid

Cousin but has always felt more like a sister. New mother to a beautiful baby girl, Ruby Lou, with a baby boy on the way, and also mother to fifteen chickens (and counting!). The only person I can nerd out with about every single spin-off of The Vampire Diaries. She is always down for a great time especially if it involves a fishing pole and canoe. Finally, she is the best baker in all of Minnesota and possibly the world. Update: Julie has just given birth to her second! Sadly, she will not be able to attend the wedding in person, but she will be there in spirit!

Brett Ekblad

Groomsman

One of the first friends I made when moving back to Illinois at the start of 6th grade and subsequently the person I've been friends with the longest on here. I think I'll keep him around. Great listener and even better BS detector, he’s a master of photoshop and a true Internet explorer.

Maija Gustin

Bridesmaid

My oldest friend. We've been the best of friends since pre-school, and it was wonderful growing up with someone who was as big of a nerd as I was. And don't worry, we're even bigger nerds now. From growing up to graduating college and starting our careers in the film industry together, I truly owe my livelihood to this one seeing as she got me my first real job. The best person to have in your corner in this or any galaxy.

Kevin Kaminski

Groomsman

As a fraternity brother, Kevin had to grow on me. Perhaps I saw too much of myself in him, a nerdy rival, but that's how we ended up bonding. If Amy and I are ever unavailable to geek out about something, find Kevin.

Amy Myers

Bridesmaid

Truly one of a kind. A magical unicorn. Lover of Bruce Springsteen. Queen of karaoke. College roommate. We’re Ames Squared. I cannot count all of the adventures I’ve had with Amy. All of my best stories include her. I mean we adopted a cat together when we moved into our college house. We’re bonded for life.

Kris Keclik

Groomsman

Both unwilling or perhaps just too lazy to drop an interior design class we thought was for architecture in high school, we became project partners and best friends. A frequent confidant in matters, he's there when it matters.

Christine Rettler

Bridesmaid

Cousin who has also felt more like a sister. Canoe and wilderness guide extraordinaire. Puzzle master. The Bay Gnome of Ely, Minnesota. Some of my most cherished memories are of fishing trips throughout the Boundary Waters with Christine where she has seen me at my absolute best and absolute worst. Trust me when I say you want her in the canoe with you. Even if it tips over.

Jack Rasmussen

Groomsman

Fraternity brother, blood brother and college roommate, he's on the pharmacist career path. A hard worker who knows how to have a good time, you can count on him to be up for a beer or an adventure, sometimes a misadventure. For him, "this life is more than just a read through".

Beth Stephan

Bridesmaid

We met at a house party at SIUC and the rest is history. Beth is one of most genuine people you will ever meet. From SIUC to living together in Logan Square, we went through the modern grind of the dating apps together where we both found our significant others. She always tells it like it is and lets me know when I’m being awful during board games.

Yale Shaw

Groomsman

Another fraternity brother and college roommate, Yale is the unsung matchmaker of Amy and I. Because of his success on apps, I caved and signed-up. When he's not designing products, he's dropping some of the hottest album covers or asking, "show me you moves," in Smash Bros.

Laura Wood

Bridesmaid

My very first roommate. The very first person I met at SIUC. We truly grew up together in that dorm room in Kellogg Hall. I mean Laura allowed me to put up a Twilight poster in that room. That’s true friendship. And that friendship kept on when we continued to live together in Chicago. She is fierce, loyal and will always have your back. She also makes a mean playlist.

Kent Tomlinson

Groomsman

Brother of the bride-to-be, seeker of Bigfoot and space aficionado, I haven't known Kent too long, but I will have the pleasure of getting to call him a brother. Unabashedly himself, he’s an absolute joy to be around. Engaging and entertaining, you'll be hard-pressed not to have a fun time in his company.

Jenna Tromburg

Officiant

Always an officiant, never a bridesmaid. Many moons ago, in Carbondale, Illinois a pact was made (that may or may not have involved alcohol) between friends that Jenna would marry every member of the friend group. Many moons later, that pact is coming true. With one wedding already under her belt, it's time for another! Jenna is one of the most insanely loving and true people we have ever met along with being incredibly articulate. It's truly an honor to have her officiate our wedding and we thank her from the bottom of our hearts.
