General Travel Information

There are two ways to get to the venue out of New York City 1) Rental Car: If you're planning to fly in the day of the event and rent a car from the airport, EWR New Jersey Airport is best for you. That way you can bypass NYC and the mad Traffic. 2) Private Car: Google Maps GPS is your friend. Plan buffer time if you need to go through NYC. As most guests plan to utilize private vehicles, we did not have enough requests to fill a bus from NYC to Callicoon.

Best Western Monticello

This is our main accommodation hotel. It is a 30min drive from the venue. The Shuttles stop and leave from here. We arranged a discount deal for you for $135 + tax/room. Use the "edit" button in the top right corner on the Best Western link to adjust the number of guests or nights

Best Western Monticello Shuttle

We provide a free Shuttle between the main hotel (Best Western Monticello) and the Wedding Venue. It will be one of the iconic charming US-School busses. To Venue: Shuttle we'll leave at 2:30pm from the Best Western Hotel towards the venue. From Venue: From the Venue to Best Western Hotel Shuttle departs every two hours starting from 8:00pm with the last shuttle leaving at 12:00am (midnight)

Here are further accommodation options in the area. Note: Shuttle doesn't go there - own car required Callicoon: Rafters Tavern: https://rafterstavern.com/theroost/, 15min by foot downhill | 3 min drive Nine River Road: http://www.nineriverroad.com/, 20min by foot downhill | 4 min drive Area: To find the hotels in the area you can use booking.com or airbnb.com. It also works good with maps.google.com typing in "Callicoon hotel" then slowly zoom out to see the hotel options in the area. Generally, the hotels in the closer are in higher price sections than the Best Western. Many of them require a two-day minimum stay. I did some research and have a list with some more options in the area.
