How do we get to Boyne Mountain from the airport?

To get to Boyne Mountain Resort from the airport, you will need to rent a car, as there are no taxis, Ubers, or car services available in northern Michigan. Renting a car is essential for your travel around the area and will give you the flexibility to explore and get to all wedding events comfortably.

Where do we stay and how do we book accommodations?

Answer

We recommend that all guests stay on-property at Boyne Mountain Resort. While there are other hotels nearby, please note that wedding transportation will only be provided to and from Boyne Mountain Resort. You can book your stay at your convenience using our discounted wedding rate. Additional details in the Travel section of our website. Discount Code: Group 14G6EP Please note: After the cut-off date of July 6, 2026, reservations must be made by calling Central Reservations at 800-462-6963. Be sure to mention the Turano-Gerard Wedding - Lodging Only to book at the group rate.

How do we get to the Welcome Party, Ceremony, and Reception?

Answer

Transportation will be provided to and from all wedding events, including the Welcome Party, Ceremony, and Reception, from Boyne Mountain Resort. We strongly encourage all guests to use the provided shuttle service, as there are no taxis, Ubers, or car services available in northern Michigan. Renting a car is helpful for general travel, but for wedding events, please plan to use our transportation - it’s the easiest, safest, and most reliable way to get around!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

There ceremony will begin promptly at 5pm. There will be transportation provided from Boyne Mountain resort starting at 4pm.

Is there a dress code for the weekend?

Answer

Yes. The welcome party will be Nautical Cocktail attire, and the ceremony and reception will be Lakeside Formal. Please note that denim is not permitted at either event per venue guidelines. For the ceremony, we recommend shoes that are easy to walk in on grass (block heels, wedges, flats, or dressy sandals) and bringing a light layer, as evenings on Walloon Lake can be cool.

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes! Complementary parking is available at Walloon Lake Country Club. Please note there are no ubers, taxis, or car services in the area.
