Why Concert Tickets

12/19/2019

Johnathan and Gina had both come out of long term relationships that they thought would last forever. They needed a friend and a Saturday night recommendation for LA activities. Gina had gotten her heart played with and was rebuilding from a destructive streak, Johnathan was recovering from a deep darkness that almost took his potential for happiness. My Chemical Romance brought them an opportunity to find the friendship they had almost 10 years earlier. They made plans of sneaking into the venue to see their return show, but ultimately went to a concert the night before to see their opening band perform after hearing rumors of a secret performance by MCR. While moving through the crowd, Gina reached for Johnathan’s hand to not lose him in the crowd and that’s when Johnathan realized, that for him things had already changed.

Why the Mountains

12/29/2019

Things were supposed to be "just casual", as many of these things start. Johnathan and Gina had been hanging out almost every day. Sometimes just dinner or a couple episodes of The Office at home but some of the day was spent with them sitting close and enjoying each other's company. On this day Johnathan had planned for them and their dogs to take a trip to the mountains because Bagel is always ready to play in the snow and Pepper had never seen the snow, that year being her first winter. On the drive up Gina had been showing Johnathan the different covers MCR had done and songs he was featured on, Under Pressure with The Used, and obviously the best cover of All I Want for Christmas is You were queued up. Gerard had recently dropped a cover of Happy Together by The Turtles and Gina, as expected, put it on and sang at the top of her lungs not caring who could hear. At the instrumental break Gina didn't stop singing, and instead of telling her "wow you messed it up" or laughing at her, he sang along with her just as loudly and they laughed about it together after the song ended. What Johnathan was unaware of in the moment, was that Gina had realized that she had started to fall fast and hard for him, and it was too late to stop it.
