Robert and Georgie met in high school medical terminology class in 2011. One day, during "free time" Georgie was reading in the back of the class when Rob asked her to play Yahtzee with him and his friends. She politely declined and went back to reading her book. Rob didn't give up so easily. After failed attempts to collect her phone number from friends, he decided to Facebook messenger chat her one night asking for her number. Rob and Geogie texted back and forth for the next couple weeks until Rob finally asked Georgie to go with him to the high school Sweethearts dance. 9 years later, Rob FINALLY proposed.

Our proposal day started with brunch and a trip to the dog park. We ran a couple errands and headed back home. Rob had mentioned grabbing tacos from our favorite food truck and sitting in the park for a picnic and to watch the sun go down behind the mountains at Sloan's Lake, one of our new favorite things to do. Georgie was packing the picnic and getting ready while Rob ran to get tacos. We drove over to the park and hauled our picnic blanket, margaritas to-go, and tacos to our spot. Georgie noticed Rob acting unusual as he usually scarfs down his food but this time he was barely eating (Rob will deny this fact and maintain Georgie had no idea what was coming). After eating our tacos and feeding LadyBird a couple chips with gauc, Rob wanted to go to the lake to get better photos of the mountain sunset (also unusual behavior). Meanwhile, we were enjoying roasting this couple who had been taking photos of each other since we arrived. Rob finally convinced Georgie to take some photos closer to the lake. After taking a couple photos, Rob walked over to the couple and asked if we could use their spot because "it must be a good spot if you've been taking photos for this long". The couple agreed and we took over their spot. Rob directed Georgie to get over by the lake with LadyBird so he could take a photo. After getting Bird to sit for the photo, she turned around to find Rob down on one knee with a pink velvet box in his hand. He nervously asked "Will you Marry me?" before slipping the ring on Georgie's finger. Surpise!- the couple taking photos were photographers Rob had secretly hired to capture the moment!
