AIRPORT:
Charleston is served by Charleston International Airport (IATA: CHS) [21], which is located about 12 miles northwest of historic downtown.
OUR WEDDING VENUE:
Magnolia Plantation and Gardens (The Carriage House) is about 25-30 minutes from downtown. We recommend mapping it the day of to ensure there isn't any major traffic since it becomes a one lane road closer to the venue.
LODGING:
**We didn't block off any hotels based on past weddings we have attended and most people stay at Airbnbs**
Downtown
We highly recommend staying downtown since there is so much to see/do. Fun fact: none of the buildings in Charleston are above the church steeple height to maintain a historic/quaint feel throughout this cozy city.
Beach vibes
If you are looking for a beach getaway, you can have it all during our wedding weekend by staying 20 minutes from downtown and roughly 40 minutes from our venue. We recommend Folly Beach for its cute coffee shops, restaurants and activities.
