Question

Can I bring my child/baby?

Answer

We trust your discretion as to whether or not your child could sit through the ceremony without disturbance. At your convenience, we will have a small room (also called the bridal suite) about 30yds away from the ceremony site where you can drop your kids off with sitters ready to care for them. However, the room is not ideal for the entire wedding ceremony/reception being such a small space and the wedding rolling into "bedtime hours". Please plan to pick up your baby/child right before dinner. You are welcome to have your kids with you during cocktail hour/reception. If you'd like a sitter at your hotel/airbnb, we have vetted a reputable service called Simply Southern Sitters that have agreed to provide a discounted rate when you tell them you're with the Hurley/Harrison wedding. They work year-round with local hotels/wedding planners to accommodate out of town guests and come highly recommended. **More information on the sitter deal/details to come!**

Will there be parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of parking a few feet away from our venue.

I saw that there are multiple venue sites at your venue. Which one is yours at?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony and reception will be at the Carriage House. There will be signs that will guide you.

Question

Can I Uber/Lyft to your venue?

Answer

Yes, although it is about 25 minutes from downtown, there are still plenty of Uber/Lyfts nearby if you want to use them.

Will there be any type of Shuttle?

Answer

If enough people show interest, we could arrange this. But, with so many different lodging locations, we recommend Uber/Lyft or a taxi service to keep it simple.

What's the weather like in Charleston during your wedding weekend?

Answer

It should be in the 60s or 70s with a low chance of rain. Last year during that time it was around 75 degrees.

Can I request songs for the DJ to play at your wedding?

Answer

Absolutely! Send your requests to hurleyharrisonwedding@gmail.com and we will pass it along to our DJ.

Why is your ceremony earlier in the day?

Answer

Since it is daylight savings the night before (fall back), we are losing light the day of our wedding. In order to have time for photos we had to schedule the ceremony for earlier. Also, we are so grateful that people are willing to go to our Sunday wedding, so it will end on the earlier side for people to get back to rest before an early travel morning back to work.

Can we visit the venue before your wedding?

Answer

Absolutely! Our guests get free admission to Magnolia Plantation and Gardens for the entire weekend. It has something for the entire family (a petting zoo, gift shop, flower tours and lots of history).
