Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail, but wear what makes you happy. The wedding and reception will be majority outside, rain or shine. Rain in May in Carmel is unlikely, but on the very off chance that it rains, we'll provide umbrellas for the ceremony and make sure there are ways to stay warm and dry. We'll have some heat lamps and a dance floor to help keep things warm regardless of weather, but we'd recommend an extra layer, just in case. If you're wondering about shoe terrain, there are some grass and dirt/ gravel areas at the venue.

What's the policy around babies and children?

Answer

We would love to have babies and children be a part of the weekend, but are imagining the Wedding Reception will not be kid friendly. We have some recommendations from our venue of babysitting services that we are happy to connect you to. All of this being said, if not being able to bring your child is going to mean that someone will have to miss the reception, we'd much rather have your child there. Please reach out and let us know what you're thinking and if we can be helpful.

Do we need to stay in Carmel Valley?

Answer

No. All wedding events will be in Carmel Valley, so it's convenient, but accommodations are limited and can get pretty expensive in town. We will be providing transportation to and from Carmel-by-the-Sea area on the wedding day, so we recommend looking at possible housing options there as well.

Are you providing transportation to and from the wedding?

Answer

Yes. We will be providing transportation to and from the wedding (and wedding after party). We will be gathering information on where everyone is staying to try to make it as helpful as possible given we'll be juggling the needs of all the guests. We'll be posting a schedule here as well as emailing everyone as it gets closer to the wedding day. We will not be providing any transportation to or from the Welcome Party or Sunday brunch, but are happy to try to help coordinate rides if you need one.
