Georgia Winters
Bride
Georgia was born and raised in Bristol, Vermont, where her father still resides in the log cabin she grew up in. She completed her PhD in Clinical Forensic Psychology at John Jay College in New York City, where she met three of her bridesmaids. She then lived in Worcester, Massachusetts, during her internship year at UMass Medical School, followed by Charlottesville, Virginia for her postdoc at UVA. Georgia is now an associate professor and director of the Forensic Psychology MA program at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey. Georgia loves comedy, live music, New England sports, and beating Daniel at basketball. Most importantly, she is an excellent board game player. Due to their (overly?) competitive natures, Daniel & Georgia gravitate towards cooperative games, with the exception of fantasy football.
Daniel Shedd
Groom
Daniel was born and raised in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, where his parents still reside. He has two younger siblings - Emma and Nick. After receiving his Ph.D. at the University of Utah, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Virginia. That's where he met Georgia, who was also completing her postdoc at the time. He now works as the Head of Quantitative Analysis at Game Point Capital in Charleston, South Carolina, alongside two of his groomsmen. Daniel is an extremely skilled chef and mixologist - skills that Georgia greatly benefits from. He enjoys all the games - sports games, video games, board games, lawn games, the list goes on. He is a proud cat dad to Bandit.
Stephanie Stern
Maid of Honor
Stephanie and Georgia met in 2013 when they began the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. Program at John Jay College in New York City. While their friendship began over their love for nachos and beer on NFL Sunday, the two have since been unconditional supports for one another for the last decade. Stephanie now lives in Fanwood, New Jersey with her husband, Patrick, and two handsome boys, Mason and Zachary.
Nicholas Shedd
Best Man
Nick is Daniel's younger brother. They share a passion for board games, especially Gloomhaven, and compete in a trivia league (lifetime h2h record: D - 2, N - 0). He plays trombone as the star of the Shedd Family Musical Ensemble, and lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with his fiancée, Sarah, while they complete legal and medical training, respectively.
Jennifer McMahon
Bridesmaid
Jennifer and Georgia also met in the Ph.D. program at John Jay College – and bonded quickly given they happened to live just ten blocks apart in Washington Heights, New York City. The pair have since shared countless hours together trying fun cocktails, dancing at concerts, and even being each other’s plus one at weddings. Jennifer lives in Morrison, Colorado with her partner, Ryan, and two dogs, Jax, Ellie, and Tuna.
William Hall
Groomsman
Will and Daniel grew up together in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. They spent countless hours playing video games, including Madden and James Bond 007: Nightfire. They have also completed many school projects together (example pictured above). Fast-forwarding a few years, Daniel joined Will and Jack at Game Point Capital. Will lives in Charleston, South Carolina, with his wife, Kaelin, and English lab, Daisy.
Nicole Graham
Bridesmaid
Nicole and Georgia were one year apart in the Ph.D. program. The two became especially tight when both moved down south – Nicole to North Carolina and Georgia to Virginia. They bonded over their love for traveling, attending sporting events, and hitting the pool/beach – not to mention they are both ruthlessly competitive in lawn games. Nicole lives with her fiancé, Justin, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Jack Hall
Groomsman
Daniel first met Jack in his role as Will Hall's younger brother. At the time, Jack was allowed to watch us play video games as long as he was making no noise and pretending he did not exist. Since then, Jack and Daniel have become friends over Christmas Eve gatherings at the Shedd house (BYO Natty Light), beers at Kickin Chicken and Home Team, and vacations to Bald Head Island. Jack is the COO of Game Point Capital, meaning that he probably is Daniel's boss?
Emma Shedd

Emma is Daniel’s younger sister. Emma and Georgia met during the Shedd Christmas extravaganza in 2020. Both are passionate about academics, enjoy the outdoors, and poking fun of Dan. Emma is completing her PhD at Michigan Tech. She lives with her partner, Alex, in Michigan along with their two kittens, Momo and Pierogi.
Ricardo Mejias
Groomsman
Daniel was studying at the University of Utah when he met Ricky. They became good friends over hours at the gym, watching sports, and playing board/video games. Many Patriots games were watched, whether at sports bars or attending in person. Tailgating at San Francisco was definitely a highlight, going deep into enemy territory. Ricky lives in Salt Lake City with his dog Luna and 16-lb cat Gadget.
