Following the most recent guidelines from the CDC and the Governor of Maryland, The Chesapeake Bay Beach Club has removed their mask requirements. Please visit our venue’s website and social media accounts for more information. https://instagram.com/chesapeakebaybeachclub?utm_medium=copy_link
The D.C. area is known for high volumes of traffic and with our wedding date taking place at the onset of Memorial Day weekend, we HIGHLY recommend giving your self extra time for traffic. Here’s a view of the traffic cam live - http://www.kentisland.cc/kitraffic.htm
Your safety is our top priority! The Chesapeake Bay Beach Club has been fantastic in ensuring our wedding follows state health guidelines while also making sure we have a fun and memorable wedding experience. Most of our events will take place outdoors to have a spacious open aired environment. We will continue to monitor guidance from health organizations and government officials and make changes to our approach as necessary.
The ceremony will be outside on a flat grass lawn next to the water (weather permitting). Cocktail hour and late-night dancing will also take place outdoors underneath a covered roof. Dinner will take place inside the ballroom.
Trust me, I wish I knew this answer too! Plan for warm to hot weather while the sun is up and then breezy weather once the sun goes down. There will be fans and heaters to accommodate whatever the weather chooses to be on that date!
There is ample parking right in front of the venue that is free! Plug "Chesapeake Bay Beach Club - Beach House Ballroom" into your GPS and then follow the signs once you arrive to the property. There are multiple ballroom areas so make sure to go to the "Beach House Ballroom" specifically. Check out the photo on the "schedule" tab to see what the entrance looks like.
