The Port Austin Farmers Market is a great place to find fresh, local produce and other products. The market is held every Saturday from May to October. Clarks favorite vendor sells handmade fishing lures and we really like the perogies just a few tents away!
One of the most popular attractions in Port Austin is Turnip Rock, a unique rock formation that resembles a turnip. Kayaking to Turnip Rock is a great way to experience its beauty up close. Kayaks on the beach are for rent, or head to Paks to make a reservation, or bring your own!
Lake Huron is a great place to go fishing. There are several charter companies in Port Austin that can take you out on the water. One of them is right in town! Our favorite fishing spot is the pier for rock bass and under the bridge over Spring St just East of the downtown area. The Pinnebog river at Port Crescent day use park is really great too!
Port Austin has several beautiful beaches. These beaches are a great place to relax, swim, and sunbathe. Bird Creek Beach has a great splash pad and an ole-timey feel beach. Veterans park/Beach has a newly renovated playscape and well groomed beach front.
