(Eff Ay Que s) Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)'s According to Wikipedia: The purpose of an FAQ is generally to provide information on frequent questions or concerns; however, the format is a useful means of organizing information, and text consisting of questions and their answers may thus be called an FAQ regardless of whether the questions are actually frequently asked.
That's a great question!
ACTUALLY, George proposed to Akira! He planned a romantic hike to Tom Dick & Harry Ridge for a picnic and a romantic proposal overlooking Mt Hood. George and Akira hiked there together on one of their first dates. He had everything set for a Saturday in mid-September. Then Akira mentioned she was seeing friends on Saturday September 12. Always flexible, George simply suggested they hike the day before instead. As the date grew near George grew more and more anxious, then panicked as wildfires put Clackamas County under evacuation orders, national forest closed, city parks closed and he realized that Friday before Saturday September 12 is September 11 and perhaps it was best not to propose on a Day of National Mourning. Plan A-Saturday Proposal with Mt. Hood View became Plan B-Friday Proposal in City Park became Plan C-Thursday Night Cook a Romantic Dinner at Home because George wanted the tears in Akira's eyes to be from the joy of the proposal not wildfire smoke. Yay 2020!
Those are two separate questions. Please ask only one question at a time.
How progressive! No, George will still be named George, not Akira. It would be too confusing if we both were named Akira.
COME ON! WE JUST FINISHED THE WEBSITE!!
Just click on the link. If that doesn't work, copy the link, and paste it in your browser. If you don't know what those words mean, just ask for help from one of your kids, grandkids or that annoying kid that won't stay off your lawn.
As you face the front of the venue, for Christian services the bride's family sits on the left side of the screen and the groom's family sits on the right side of the screen. For Jewish services it is reversed. We recommend you sit facing the screen, tilting to the left or right as appropriate.
In lieu of gifts, we ask you visit the Registry page of this website, and make a donation to the Alzheimer's Association by clicking the link provided. (It will be good practice on how to click on a link for the livestream) or make a donation to a charity of your choice. We would really appreciate a card or other note of congratulations. As we tell our children, the most meaningful cards are the ones you make yourself! If you really must send a gift, Akira needs more fishing tackle, especially VIP salmon spinners in 3.5 and 5.0 sizes. They are available at https://www.vipoutdoors.com/shop/
No. George wrote the majority of these FAQs. With the exception of this one.
We sure hope so. We are planning a live celebration when COVID is over and it is safe for everyone to gather in person again.
What an keen eye for beauty you have! George made the wedding arch, and Akira placed the fabric and selected the flowers. If you really like it, it will be available for rent on etsy after the wedding. (Also, why is it called an arch if it isn't curved? Asking for a friend.)
No RSVP required. To be totally honest, not only will we not know if you are wearing pants, we can't really even tell if you attended. So just drop us an email around 3 pm on the 18th telling us what a beautiful ceremony it was and how honored you were to be a part of our special day, and we will all be none the wiser.
We will dance together to Smoke Gets In Your Eyes off camera. But to be honest, we have danced together before.
Don't worry, a video recording of the wedding will be available on George's youtube channel.
Honestly, it was after midnight, and we were kind of quarantine crazy.
Wow, you really weren't paying attention, were you?
