FAQs

Question

Are there suggested accommodations?

Answer

Due to Cornell Family Weekend being the same weekend as our wedding, we recommend you book a accommodation as soon as possible. You can find suggested hotels on our travel page.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our afternoon ceremony followed by our cocktail hour will be held outdoors. For the reception, seating for dinner will be under a heated tent, while the dancing will be in a heated building. It's fall in New York... please wear a jacket! Guests will walk to the ceremony on gravel pathways, but will need to step on grass briefly. For that reason, stiletto or otherwise-thin heels are not recommended.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is cocktail / semi- formal attire - a reason to dress to impress so we can dance the night away. We suggest a suit, blazer with dress pants and a tie, or dress. Ladies, given the nature of the venue grounds, we recommend block heels. For this time of year, we'd also recommend a jacket or shawl, just in case!

Question

Will transportation be provided to and from the wedding?

Answer

Unfortunately, we will not be providing transportation services for the wedding. Please check with your hotel if they have transportation services. While Uber or Lyft are available in Ithaca, NY, we suggest booking a ride ahead of time, or plan accordingly for a driver. There is parking available on premises if you plan to drive to and from the wedding. New Park Event Venue has recommended to book a service called Main Street Drivers - a designated driving service or "mini shuttle". For more information and to book a ride, visit their website: https://mainstreetdrivers.com/

Question

Is there parking available at the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes, there is parking available at New Park. They also offer overnight parking in the event you are unable to drive safely after the reception. If you plan to leave your car overnight, please plan to pick up your vehicle before 10:00 AM on Sunday, November 2.

Question

Are kids allowed at the wedding?

Answer

In order to allow all guests, including parents, an evening of relaxation we have chosen for our wedding day to be an adult-only occasion. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to share our big day and will enjoy having the evening off!
