This was our first date. We met in this coffee shop/used book store. We chatted for awhile before walking over towards 16th street, trying to break into the Masonic Temple, and finally getting dinner at the Drafting Table.
The famous DC Cherry Blossom Festival is happening around our wedding. The annual kite festival was our second date, where we broke three kites, climbed a tree, and ended up walking about 8 miles around DC. Here's the schedule: Pink Tie Party – Thursday, March 15 Opening Ceremony – Saturday, March 24 Blossom Kite Festival – Saturday, March 31 Southwest Waterfront Fireworks Festival – Saturday, April 7 National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade – Saturday, April 14
This was our third date, we met in the park and hiked several trails, then got dinner at a pizza place nearby.
This was our fourth date. We kayaked all the way around Teddy Roosevelt Island (yes, it was exhausting...). Then we got sandwiches and ate them on Teddy Roosevelt Island.
This was our fifth date, we went to the Easter Sunrise Service. I actually wasn't going to go, because she wasn't going to. I slept in and woke up to a text saying that she had decided to go. So I got ready quickly and showed up late, but I got to see her again.
On our sixth date, I met Erin and Morgan at Shake Shack.
On our seventh date, we went swing dancing at Glen Echo Park.
On our eighth date, we met at a Peet's coffee shop near here, worked on papers together, and then got dinner at Silver Diner. This was when we became boyfriend and girlfriend.
This is an awesome park and recreation center within walking distance of our venue. Lots of beautiful wooded trails to walk.
Old Town Leesburg has several nice antique shops and historical sites, plus COFFEE SHOPS.
Erin and I went for a walk in this park late last summer. It has a nice walking trail near the water.
