Things start to slow down after Labor Day in Lake Almanor. However, it is still a beautiful time to be on the lake and we highly encourage all of our guests to secure their travel plans/ lodging accommodations as soon as possible. We’ve highlighted a few of our suggestions below but please feel free to reach out if you need any additional help. There are also VRBO, Airbnb, and locally rented accommodations all around the lake! We want to do our best to make sure everyone who would like to join us is able to!
FLYING - Reno/Tahoe airport is about 2 hours away, Chico Regional Airport is about 2.5 hours away, and the Sacramento airport is about 3 hours away
DRIVING -
From Reno the fastest route is to take US-395 north through Susanville. Or if you have an extra 20 minutes take CA-70 through Portola and stop in Quincy for a root beer float!
From Chico take CA-99 to CA-36.
From Sacrament the fastest route is via CA-70.
