Our love story began at the office of a shoe company in Portland, Oregon, where Ollie was a design intern and I was working full-time. We happened to be in the same onboarding class and noticed one another right away. A few days later, a mutual coworker put us in a group chat to go mountain biking. But our love story had actually began long ago. We had met briefly nine months before at Bridgetown church. I had recognized his sweatshirt from Stickboy Bakery, a place we both had worked while in college at Appalachian State in Boone, NC. From there, the connections just kept unfolding - we had mutual friends, shared similar passions, and had somehow ended up being employed by the same company for the second time in our lives on opposite sides of the country! It felt like invisible strings had been tying us together all along and it was the Lord’s perfect timing to bring us together in Portland. What started as a month-long friendship quickly grew into dating, 11 months later into an engagement, and now marriage! Our shared love for Jesus, the Appalachian Mountains, biking, snowboarding, the outdoors, and community continues to be at the core of our story.
