Charleston International Airport (CHS)

The Charleston International Airport is the closest airport to Kiawah (about 45 minutes away by car). Rideshare services are available at CHS (Note: Ubers are able to get on the island, but Lyft will charge a fee). Rideshares are limited on Kiawah Island and are difficult to book for the return trip to the airport. We highly recommend booking a rental car or car service ahead of time. If not renting a car, the best way to travel to and from CHS and Kiawah Island will be to book a car service in advance of your stay. If staying at The Sanctuary, please call the resort concierge to arrange transportation at (843) 768-6251. Otherwise, please consider one of the following third-party services: SC Express, Island Transportation, or Charleston Black Cab Company.

Call (800) 654-2924 for assistance with group reservations and you will be connected to a reservations agent. Notify the agent that you need to book a villa/room for the Wiedeman-Bernard Wedding or use code: 22745 to receive the discount. For guests booking online, you can note in the comments section the wedding name and include the booking ID code. The Sanctuary is a 5-star oceanfront resort centrally located on the island. The hotel is part of the Kiawah Island Golf Resort and provides access to amenities like complimentary shuttle services to resort venues around the island, access to resort pools, discounts and preferred reservations for golf and tennis, and preferred dining and spa reservations.

Please mention the Wiedeman-Bernard wedding or booking number 22745 for discount either on the phone or in the comments section of the online booking page. These villas and private homes do not have the same Sat-Sat peak season rental restrictions like Airbnb/Vrbo do.

Andell Inn on Kiawah Island

The Andell Inn is located just outside the gates to Kiawah and is surrounded by great restaurants and shops in Freshfields Village. The hotel is a Marriott property with a pool and fitness area. Please note that guests staying here will have not have access to Kiawah aside from the wedding events.
