Hotel Eden is located here! Port De Soller is a charming water-front town nestled between mountains, built within an ocean cove. It is one of the few towns that can claim both magnificent mountain scenery and breathtaking sea views; it offers some of the best sunsets in Mallorca! The bay is bordered by a sandy beach, lined by a promenade where you can enjoy an endless stretch of cafes, restaurants, shops and trendy cocktail bars. Hotel Eden is on the promenade, where you can walk to the beach straight from the hotel's pool. Parking is limited in this town, so here are a few parking garage options: 1. Carrer de Lepanto, 7, 07100 Port de Sóller (this garage is 1 min away from Hotel Eden; we recommend all hotel guests with a car to park here) 2. Carrer Poeta Mossèn Costa i Llobera, 10, 07108 Port de Sóller
10 mins away from Port de Soller. Set in a lush valley of orange groves between the mountains and the sea, Soller is a old Mediterranean, rural town, made up of narrow streets lined with traditional style residential townhouses. The main square, Plaça Constitució, has plenty of cafes where you can enjoy un cafe ole or a glass of vino, and the area comes alive on Saturdays when the local market takes place. With several tapas bars, a fine selection of pastry shops, local ice-cream, and beautiful architecture, there is plenty to experience. Whereas Port de Soller is by the ocean, Soller is inland. You can get here by car or by a cute, vintage tram (from Port de Soller) which offers scenic views as it takes you through the mountains.
35 mins away from Port de Soller. Palma is Mallorca's vibrant capital, stylish and intimate, yet bursting with life. Half of the island's population dwells in this city, lively all year round with trendy restaurants, cafes, shops and nightlife as well as a thriving art scene. It's often compared to Barcelona and is a 15-minute drive from the airport. The main attractions and shops are situated around the massive Gothic cathedral down by the seafront. This area, known as Palma’s old town, is full of ancient passages, historic monuments and magnificent architecture. Here you will find no shortage of sights within its many narrow streets, quirky cafes, galleries, and boutique shops. Suggested parking address: Carrer de la Riera, 2, 07003 Palma (located near Plaza Mayor in the centre of the town) I suggest you park in the plaza & walk south to the cathedral and old town. Here is an address of an Italian restaurant in the "old town" area: Restaurant Ambra: Carrer de la Boteria, 10, 07012
30 mins away from Port de Soller. A village steeped in old-world charm, Valldemossa lies in an idyllic valley in the midst of the Tramuntana mountains. Its blonde stone houses contrast vividly against the surrounding green forests of olive, oak and almond trees, and the blue sky above. Valldemossa's quiet and picturesque streets are sprinkled with shops, art galleries, cafes and restaurants.
1hr 41 min away from Port de Soller. This is the place where we had our spontaneous photo shoot (go to the Photos page). Through the winding mountain roads, at the very end you will reach a lot where you can park your car and walk to the most gorgeous, white sand beach. You can rent straw huts and chairs if you wish. When driving up to Formentor, you will pass through a town called Puerto or Porto Pollensa. You might want to stop there on your way back from a beach day and enjoy a wonderful evening with dinner and vino. Sitting in a large horseshoe bay, Puerto Pollensa offers splendid sea views and a picture-perfect mountain backdrop along with a wide range of restaurants, bars and cafes.
