Eat, Drink, and be married

The story of Sara & Gene is a typical midwest fairytale, except not like that at all. In 2009, a college freshmen newly living in Chicago, Sara attended a party unknowingly at Gene's apartment. It was at this party, Sara met Gene, quickly swept off her feet watching him teach party guests how to properly pick up The Queen. Thus began a Windy City romance. Gene taught Sara how to navigate Chicago and together they grew and explored their beloved city- at least for a few years. Their paths diverged as Gene graduated DePaul University and dove into the Chicago real estate scene. Sara spent a semester in Italy, graduated Loyola University and ventured to Grenada for Veterinary School. Sara completed her final year at The Ohio State University, where, as fate would have it, Gene was attending a wedding and needed a date. They laughed, they danced, and fell back into sync as Gene & Sara. In the last 7 years, Gene and Sara have traveled around the world (maybe twice), rescued three French bulldogs, bought a home, and made a life together.
